Philippines Charities

Philippines charities vary widely in scope, focus, and effectiveness. Sometimes one can be overwhelmed with choices when looking to donate time and money. That was the situation I found myself in not long ago.

After living and working in the Philippines for a number of years I decided I wanted to give something back. Finding a good Philippines charity seemed like the answer but then we hear so much about how with some charities only 10 cents on the dollar actually goes towards helping those in need. Huge portions of our donations go towards supporting a charity bureaucracy! I couldn’t accept that.

That’s when I decided to start doing in depth research on Philippines charities. This involved extensive internet researching as well as visiting the head offices of the charities and some of their projects. I’ve seen some wonderful things happening in the Philippines. There are some really good programs which turn some of the worst situations you can imagine into bastions of hope, happiness and growth. I have been amazed by the energy and dedication of some of the volunteers I have seen. Many of these people are dedicating their entire lives to helping others. I figured the least I could do was use my internet experience to bring their efforts to the attention of those willing to support them. People like you.

I’m just getting started with this Philippines charity project, so please bear with me while my list of what I believe to be top Philippines charities grows.

Also note, this is a completely not for profit site. I am not asking for and will not accept any donations. I do, however, encourage those who are interested in donating to a Philippines charity to do so directly with that charity. I hope you enjoy browsing the information on this site. I hope it encourages you to give, knowing that your donation is going towards a great cause.

    hi. can anybody help me, my sister is suffering from “stage 4  bone cancer for almost 3 years @ the age of 15 she needs continuous therapy and we don’t already have enough money. we pray and hope for some financial assistance like charities or any sponsors for her therapy. it kill’s me inside seeing my sister in pain that’s why i seek help. thank you so much and godbless. hope you’ll reply thank you again

    i know now a days it’s not easy to find charities and sponsors that could immediately help my sister’s condition because there were many children in these country who also needs helps.. but i still pray and hope there’s someone who could help us.. there’s no wrong in trying to seek help. it’s for my sisters life. thank you..  by the way my sister is pretty good in painting she also wrote nice stories. and this is one of her painting.

    Good day, After a series of physical examination we are informed by the physician that my daughter need to undergo surgery.  In this regards as a father, I am asking  those who have good in heart to help my daughter Alaine Grace heart condition.  She need surgery due to the developing whole in her heart that may lead to complication.  She’s only 3 years old.  We are not capable to sustain the financial needs for her to undergo the surgery.  As a loving father i really wanted to see my beautiful girl live long and experience the beauty of the life each day.  We lived in Bacolod Negros Occidental Philippine.  Once again I am asking to those have good heart to help my daughter.  May God bless all  those who have the helping heart .

    Hi my company is new here in the Phils. and we are currently looking on some charities to help if not Where Looking on forming our own to help out. Not just to help but to do our part in the world. we are looking on the long term process of helping  in needs. If you understand what I mean. Where focusing first on children maybe 30 nos.  Most of the charities  here on the net already have sponsors and what we need is like foundations or charities that  don’t have much sponsor now.can you suggest any ?     Please help my nephew Wildon. He is 1yr and 10 months old. he has pulmonary valve atresia and I could no longer afford his monthly medication and especially his first open heart operation. My sister could not get a regular job because of my nephew’s health condition. My parents and I are helping them to the best we can but still it is not enough. The father of my nephew abandoned his repsonsibilities. That does not matter any more. What is important is that Wildon experience the beauty of life, make friends and someday may help others. Please, If you are reading this you can visit them in Laguna. His fingers and toes are cyanogenic in color now due to lack of oxygen but still he is a charming and loving baby. He is in great need.     Hi my wife is from the philippines and i am in contact with a family there and they are very poor but also very kind there daughter who is 21 as a great sence of humore and looks at life with open eys and hope. But the sad thing is she as a hole in her heart and i send money over to help with some meds but i cannot not afford the operation she needs they live in cebu could you send me any details of any charities in that area that might be able to help this family many thanks steve

    hello. i am a registered nurse-midwife and im planning to build a birthing home clinic at macasampen guindulungan maguindanao where there is no accesible health care facilities. this would benefit not only the said barangay but also all nearby municipalities. f given a chance to have the clinic building and equipments and all instruments i will process it for the accreditation of the philippines health insurance corporation so that all maternity cases patients will be free of charge. so i am asking those charitable persons who wants to invest a charity to the needies specially on pregnant women.
